Bringing your child to the dentist?
We know the dentist can be a scary place for kids. It's hard enough to get them to school or sport let alone the dentist! This is why our team goes above and beyond to make your child's dental visit as fun and comfortable as possible. We believe in creating a positive experience for the child and the parent. This helps create good dental habits at an earlier age which has lifelong benefits. Parents are always welcome to bring their children to their own appointments in order to familiarise them with the dental setting.
Early Intervention
A regular check up for your child every 6 months can be invaluable in early detection of any dental issues. After all, no one likes to see children in pain. Our experienced oral health therapists and dentists can use this time to comprehensively evaluate your child's mouth, provide a gentle clean and polish and recommend any treatment required. The best treatment is prevention; however sometimes early intervention can prevent more serious problems in the future and save a lot of tears!
Emergency Treatment
Sometimes dental emergencies cannot be avoided and we are here to help. If your child has a dental emergency we highly recommend you contact us immediately for a same day appointment. You can be rest assured we will do our best to have your child smiling again as soon as possible!
Child Dental Benefits Schedule
Children up to the age of 18 may be eligible for dental treatment under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule provided by the Australian Government. Please contact the clinic for further details.

Hermitage Dental Port Macquarie is located at the Hermitage Medical Centre. The practice is easily accessible by public transport and a carpark is available for your convenience.
KEMPSEY PRACTICE
Hermitage Dental Kempsey has both a carpark and street parking available.
Both practices are wheelchair friendly.
